New Year

It is already December 31st , 2008. Tomorrow will be a start of the new year, a blank slate to make everything better than we did the previous year. 2008 was a difficult year, but it was a good year. Miguel finally received his legal permanent status in the United States. This allows him to work and live here legally. I would say that was the best 2008 had to offer us. He was also able to see his mother after 10 years of not seeing her. This was also due to his newly acquired legal status. My braces came off. I went Britney Spears... NO, I did not shave my hair, I just cut it REALLY short. I was one of the million people who were laid off in the United States in the month of Novemer, but thankfully I also found a job by the end of the year. I will start my first day on Friday. I have been a homeowner for exactly a year too. My mother had SOME surgeries and survived. Yeap... those were the highlights of my year. I think that overall it was not SOOOOOOO bad, but I am truely READY to START over again and continue to improve myself and my family. I hope 2009 brings hapiness, health, love and prosperity to all of you and me.



Ya es el 31 de Diciembre del 2008. Mañana va a comenzar el año nuevo y sera tiempo de comenzar de nuevo para hacer las cosas mejor que lo que las hizimos el año pasado. El 2008 fue un año dificil, pero bueno. Miguel finalmente recibio su residencia permanente para entrar, residir y trabajar en los Estados Unidos. Eso singularmente fue lo mejor! Tambien a consecuencia de eso pudo ver a su mama despues de 10 años. Termine con el tratamiento de mis frenos. Me volvi una Britney Spears... no.. no me razure el cabello... pero me lo corte SUPER corto. Fui parte de el millon de personas que fueron desocupados a consecuencia de una reduccion de personal, pero Gracias a Dios tambien encontre empleo antes de que el año se terminara. Tambien hemos sido ya propetarios de la casa por un año. Comensare mi trabajo el viernes. Sip.... esos fueron los puntos culminantes de nuestras vidas este año. Ojala que el proximo año traiga con el salud, amor, armonia, prosperidad y muchas muchas cosas positivas.

Grandpa's Birthday

My grandfather's birthday was on December 13th. We had a small family celebration for he turns 80!!! Yes... 80 wonderful years. And he is still waiting for many more years to come. We are truely blessed to have him with us.

Mi abuelo cumplio el 13 de Dic. Tubimos una celebracion en casa de mi madre por que cumplio sus OCHENTA primaveras. Si... ochenta primaveras maravillosas y aun espera muchas mas. Somos afortunados de tenerlo con nosotros.

My Mother

My mom just got out of surgery about an hour ago and everything is PERFECT!! My father and I were really scared. She has always been a very healthy person and has never been in the hospital, except for her two deliveries, mine and my sister's. As the time was getting closer my father and I started getting more and more anxious. It was unbereable. Somehow we both managed to calm down and proceeded to the waiting room. We had to wait about two whole hours, but EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!!! We have not seen her yet as she is recouperating. We have to wait another two hours to see her. This was a very scary time and it just confirms to me how very important she is to me. I knew she was important of course, but just the thought that something could go wrong drove me a little bonkers. I am glad everything is fine. She is the best Christmas present.

Mi madre apnas salio de su operacion hace como una hora y todo esta PERFECTO!!! Mi padre y yo estabamos muy asustados. Ella siempre ha sido una mujer ultra saludable y jamas habia tenido que ir al hospital salvo a sus dos partos, el de mi hermana y el mio. Mientras que el tiempo se acercaba para que mi mami la operaran, mi papa y yo nos poniamos mas y mas nerviosos. Fue insoportable. De algun modos los dos pudimos controlar nuestros nervios y esperar en la sala del hospital. Tubimos que esperar dos horas, pero al fin todo salio muy bien. Esto fue algo muy fuerte para mi papa y yo y solo confirmo cuanto la necesitamos en nuestras vidas. El solo pensar que algo podia suceder me volvio un poco loca dentro de mi, pero al fin todo esta bien. Estoy feliz por la salud de mi mama. Ella es el mejor regalo de Navidad.

El Esperitu de la Navidad

Ayer Miguel y yo fuimos envadidos con el espiritu de la Navidad. Miguel pinto la sala y el comedor por que el año pasado el arbol no lucio para nada. Miguel hasta me ayudo a ensamblar el arbol (usamos arboles artificiales para conservar el planeta), algo que jamas habia hecho. Estabamos taaaaannn envadidos (bueno yo mas) que puse musica de Navidad. Siempre me reia de mi mami por hacer eso y mirenme.... poco a poco me convierto en mi madre. Bueno, total que me encanto como se mira nuestra sala, el color que escogimos es fenomenal y la sala luce mucho mejor que el año pasado.


Yesterday Miguel and I got in the Christmas spirit and started decorating for Christmas. Miguel painted the living room and the dining room because last year I just hated the way our Christmas tree looked with the wall color we had. Miguel helped me with the tree... something he had never done. I was soooo into it that I even put holiday music on, now I must admit that I always made fun of my mother because she always does that same thing. I know.... I am slowly turning into my mother. Anyway, I really like the color we chose and I think our living room rocks!

Zach's Birthday Party

Zachy cumplio el 18 de Noviembre y este fin de semana le hicieron su fiesta de cumple. Fue muy divertida y el encontro un nuevo amiguito de su edad. Se veian tan bien, no se despegaban por nada. Se ve que se divirtio mucho!

It was Zach's party this weekend and it seems as if he had a lot of fun! His party was fun and best of all he found a new little friend. They looked as if they had a lot of fun together.
