Holloween

As I passed by the Chronicle stand today, I saw a monster that looked like McCain. I ordered my meal (I was at a restaurant) and I could not help it. I HAD to go back and check it out. Indeed, indeed, it was McCain and as I flipped the front cover... I saw Palin. Again, I could not help it, so I had to post it!
Along with these masks come instructions. The following are SOME of the instructions:
---"An honorable, bipartisan approach is required-reach accros the aisle and borrow some scissors form Joe Libberman. Smile your rictus grin, make with the "my friends," and try to tire-swing on through!"
---"You need another mask to rile up the base: Deploy your mavericky vice presidential mask!
Don't feel that you have to look at it before you select it - that's not what a maverick would do!And don't think you have to cut along the lines - not very mavericky either. While we know you're itching to use every bit of the cascass, don't affix the Palin mask straight to your face with home-rendered moose-hoof glue (maverick!). After all, you'll need this again in 2012. (Veep Elizabeth Hasselback mas to follow. Maverick.) Garnish with 150,000 dollars' worth of products form elitist East Coast stores, and wink liberally - no, conservatively, no, err, maverickly.
--- "Your veep mask becoming a drag on the ticket? Immediately announce the suspension of mask construction to parachite into Washington and bring a resolution to the crisis - after a round of morning talk shows. Oh trollops - your opponent's still pulling ahead!..."
---"I sure hope you didn't borrow those scissors, redistributionist! Why are you trying to 'spread the scissors' around, taking them out of the hands of hardworking Americans like Joe the Shearsman? Also, spend until Nov. 4 explaining to anyone younger than 45 what a socialist is..."
I sure hope you enjoyed it.... that is The Chronicle for you. I know for sure that one coworker will like this most and one will not like this at all. M... I hope you at least think this is kind of funny... :)

Go Vote

Yes.... the time has come. Elections are almost over. With that said, I want to encourage everyone to go vote. I know, you are thinking: "Everyone? Even those voting for McCain?" YES. I believe that everyone has the MORAL OBLIGATION to vote. I also want to encourage everyone, if you have not done so already, to research the issues and vote according to your believes. Go vote, you only have TWO days! Remember: Our country's future depends on YOUR vote.

"Whether you vote or not, you actually are influencing the outcome. If you don't vote you are just saying that you trust everyone else to decide your future and your family's future for you. Democracy works better when everyone has a say, so please get out there andmake your voice heard." -President Bill Clinton

Luis Miguel

Today was the day that I went to go see Luis Miguel. For those of you who dont know who he is, he is like a Tony Bennet in Mexico. His nickname is the Sun of Mexico. About four or five years ago, Luis Miguel came to Austin and Miguel (my hubby) did not take me. He HATES Luis Miguel. Miguel promised that he would take me if he ever came back to Austin. It is obvious that Miguel never thought that Luis Miguel would come back. Well... he did, and my hubby faught it til' the very end. I actually thought that he would bail out on me, but he came through. Miguel worked the whole day and did not have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Wanting to make me happy, he came home and took a shower and left with me. It is important to say that he behaved well especially for not having eaten all day. As for the video, I apologize. I took the camera in as contraband and we were absolutely forbidden form taking any pictures. I splipped a picture and a couple of videos. The picture was good, the video was not. Needless to say... this is absolutely one of the happiest days of my life.... up there with various milestones that I have had in my life.

2nd Anniversary

October 7, 2006. Two years ago Miguel and I married. It truely does not seem like 2 years have passed by, in fact, it feels like they FLEW by. Miguel has been so wonderful and I truely expect to live every day of my live with him. Being his wife is just awesome.

Jaguares

Miguel and I went to see Jaguares today. There are one of my favorite bands and I wanted to see them despite the fact that I had already seen them about 3 or 4 times already. I wanted to go and slam, but Miguel said it was too rough. I felt so bad.... I wanted to slam, but I also did not want to get hurt, so I did not. It's ok, I still had fun and enjoyed listening to them.

Miguel y yo fuimos a ver a Jaguares hoy.

ACL continued....

Last sunday Miguel and I also went to see Foo Fighters. We definitely enjoyed seeing them. ACL was definitely tiresome, Miguel ended up sitting on the ground.... and I won't lie, I did too.
