Amaca

Miguel and I bought a amaca (hammock) in Piedras. Check it out...Now I can rest and watch my husband wash the dishes. Isn't that nice??

New Bar In Town!

My friend Carmen and her husband bought a home in June.... Jaime (her husband) has ALREADY built a bar in the back yard! It is so cool! Miguel and I were invited by them along with a couple of couples. Now... we felt kind of weird because they all had kids, but we enjoyed our time there. We also got to meet the new member of the family. Congratulations on your new baby!

Mi amiga Carmen y su esposo compraron una casa en Junio... Jaime (su esposo) YA construyo un bar en el patio. Se mira muy bien. Miguel y yo fuimos invitados junto con otras parejas. Nos sentimos un poco raros por que TODOS tenian hijos, pero como quiera no la pasamos bien. Tambien pudimos conocer al nuevo miembro de la familia. Felicidades por su bebe!!!!

My birthday...

I turned 24 on Friday and saw my first wrinkle... it is not noticeable at all, unless you really stare. I found it as I was staring at my imperfections in the mirror. Anyway, it was my birthday and I have never felt more special than Friday. It all started on Thursday when I walked in the front door of my house and I saw a beautiful bouquet of flowers that my husband bought me. I didn't expect it at all. They were just awesome. My mother called me to tell me that Mayra, my coworker, made me a cake and let me just say that I was NEVER expecting that. I really appreciate what she did. The cake was yummy looking and tasted yummy too. My cousin Daniela made me chocolate covered strawberries. That made me feel special too, I never thought I was special enough to her for her to do that. My grandmother also baked me a cake, and well, every year it is harder for her to do those activities. My father cooked out on the grill for me... since his accident it is also harder for him to do those activities. To top it off we went to Mexico and my good friend Carmen bought me a cake. I dont know if my family and friends did more or if I now appreciate things more, but I have not had that good of a time in a long time! THANK YOU!!!

El viernes cumpli 24 años y me vi mi primera arruga. Bueno... no es muy notable solo me la vi despues de ver mis imperfecciones en el espejo. Bueno... ese no es el punto. El punto es que mi familia y amigos me hicieron sentirme muy especial. El jueves Miguel me compro un ramo de flores y pues nunca me lo espere, especialmente el dia anterior. El dia de mi cumple Mayra, una compañera de trabajo me hizo un pastel. Nunca me lo espere. Mi prima Daniela me hizo unas fresas cubiertas en chocolate..... mmm que ricas! Mi abuela tambien me hizo mi pastel y pues cada vez es mas dificil hacer esas actividades para ella. Mi papa tambien me hizo una carne asada, y pues desde su accidentek tambien es mas dificil. Fuimos a Piedras y mi buena amiga Carmen me compro otro pastel. Todos me hicieron sentir especial. No se si mi familia y amigos hicieron mas o si yo lo aprecio mas, pero no he tenido un mejor cumple en mucho tiempo. GRACIAS!!

Duplex

The duplex has already been rented. I am so happy for my parents, but I am so sad. That was first home that Miguel and I lived in. The duplex was finished and looks awesome. Miguel worked VERY hard in this project. Thanks honey!

Ya rentaron el duplex. Estoy contenta por mis papas, pero al mismo tiempo estoy triste . Esa fue la primera casa en la que Miguel y yo vivimos. El duplex fue terminado y se mira fabuloso. Miguel trabajo bastante en este proyecto. Gracias amor!

July is full of birthdays for my family. Aleck starts everything off on the 1st and I typically end it on the 18th.

Jay MOMZ

My mother loves to sing like a MILLION (really like 4 or 5) birthday songs EVERY time it is some one's birthday. Well... she added ONE more to her repertoire. She has now tried to add Jay Z's song. Well actually.... Paloma and I talked her into it. Check it out........

A mi mama le gusta cantar como un MILLON de canciones para felicitar a los cumple añeros... (bueno mas bien son como 4 o 5). Bueno... pues a agregado una cancion mas. Ella a reinventado una cancion de un rapero que se llama Jay Z. Miren su version!

Triana's Birthday

Mi prima Triana cumplio su primera primavera y fue festejada por su familia a amigos en Piedras. La fiesta fue estilo Mexicano y todos nos divertimos mucho.

My cousin Triana had her first birthday which was celebrated by family and friends in Piedras Negras. The party was Mexican themed and everyone had a fun time.
